- ABOUT PRINTS ON CANVAS
My FAIRYTALEKiDS prints are
exclusively printed on real cotton canvas. The same canvas used to paint the
original painting! Chosen exclusively due to its properties to best represent
the original piece.

The
Look and Feel of the Original!
A heavy, medium texture, cotton
artist canvas typically used to wrap Gallery style canvas panels. Art prints of
an original hand painted piece are ideal for this material.
The art print
virtually looks and feels just like the original painting. Coated with a
protective sealer which protects and enhances the colors.

- Professional Quality Prints
The
prints are done on a semi-gloss canvas
consisting of a bright white, cotton
canvas (19 mil; 350 g/m?), with a primed
satin finish. A special resin coating
holds the inks with high clarity.

Images
are brilliant and well saturated, making
this canvas an ideal media for fine art
reproductions or studio portraits.
The
prints are unstretched and shipped
rolled in a roll tube. Large volume
unstretched print orders may be shipped
flat.

- Hanging your Prints
FLEXIBLE
HANGING OPTIONS
The
unstretched prints have a 1 to 2"
extra margin space around the printed
area for handling, framing and/or
stretching. Just
insert into any standard size picture
frame.

For a more dramatic look, use a
bigger size frame with a pre-cut mat. As
each print is sealed for protection, you
can frame it without the glass cover to
show off the rich texture of the canvas.
STRETCHING
& MOUNTING
The
benefit of unstretched prints is that
they offer the most flexibility to the
customer in hanging preferences. The
customer can also choose to have a local
framer "gallery wrap" the
print. Standard
Wrap is the normal method for small to
mid size prints. The canvas is stretched
and secured with staples to on the sides
of the panel. Canvas stretches so a
slight amount of print "bleed"
may wrap over the sides. The advantage
to stretching a print is that it adds
support to the canvas so that it will
not buckle or bend. It also prevents
accidental creasing when handling.

We do
not offer "gallery" style of
stretching and mounting in which the
printed area wraps all the way around
the sides to the back. If you plan on
having a print gallery wrapped, we
recommend ordering an unstretched print.
Please also make sure your framer that
does the gallery wrapping is familiar
with proper gallery wrapping techniques
or they can damage the print or you will
get a white crease along the edges.

- Print Specifications
QUALITY
& LONGEVITY
Only the
latest in artistic print technology is
used to create your prints. In addition,
unlike canvas reproductions of the past,
the inks used are UV pigmented inks with
an initial claim of 150 to 200 years.
With proper care and not exposing the
print to direct sunlight, your print is
expected to last into future
generations.
Because
computer monitors, printers and scanners
may have variations in settings,
relatively small differences of
appearance for hues and brightness
levels may occur in some instances. The
printing technology uses 6 colors so has
a wider gamut of colors available then
would be found with most printers.
COLOR
QUALITY
The
printing process uses UV pigmented inks
engineered by HP. Six (6) different
colors cartridges are used to get a wide
array of colors and color range. These
include Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black,
Light Cyan and Light Magenta.
The UV
inks are formulated to deliver the most
brilliant, photo-quality images, and
vivid, full-color graphics that are
lightfast and durable - indoors and out.
HP color layering technology layers
multiple drops of ink in a single dot to
product brilliant color prints that are
clear and sharp, even close up.
WATERPROOF-NESS
The
prints are produced with a water
resistant ink system. This does not
mean, however, that they are waterproof.
In most cases, as long as the print is
not overly saturated by a water based
solution or a water based spray, the
print will be okay. The semi-gloss
canvas used is more water resistant than
most.

- ABOUT ORIGINAL PAINTINGS
My FAIRYTALEKiDS original and
whimsically sweet paintings are one of a kind paintings. While the piece
is reproduced in other formats like prints so that everyone can enjoy them, you
will never see the same painting again... not even a similar
version.
Paintings are available
on either of two types of canvas depending on your preference...

Gallery Canvas Panels

Traditional Canvas Board
Gallery
Canvas Panels
Almost all my paintings are done
on stretched canvas panels. Stretched canvases offer a clean, rich,
contemporary look that will delight you. Strong primed natural duck cotton
canvas is stretched over 1" stretcher strips to form a gallery style
canvas panel.

The canvas is pulled taut over
the wooden frame and wrapped around the back where it is secured with staples.
The sides are about ?" deep with no staples for a clean and finished
look.
The sides of the panels are painted
to add to the contemporary charm of the piece... Best of all, no frame is
required!
Traditional
Canvas Board
The traditional and classic canvas board is the number one choice of the great
master's. A cotton canvas is coated with gesso primer and glued on heavy
cardboard for a flat, durable and rigid surface.
Canvas board is less expensive
and should be framed. Most store bought picture frames can accommodate the
1/8" thickness for easy and inexpensive framing so that professional
framing is not required.

- Original Art
Each
of my paintings is an original, one of a kind painting, never to be replicated
in painted form again. Unless otherwise specified, I do offer reproductions in
printed form only so that others can enjoy the art too. Please note that
custom paintings are never reproduced in any manner.
What
is an original or a one of a kind?
When
purchasing an original piece of art such as a painting, it is also important
to consider whether the artist offers painted derivative works which are
similar or "inspired" by a previous work... but with slight changes.
Is it truly an original one of a kind?
And
remember, the artist retains all rights of reproduction now and forever. While
one artist may not offer printed reproductions now, they do retain the right
to reproduce the art at any time in the future. Unless you have a written
agreement, your one of a kind painting of today can become a best seller print
tomorrow.
If
you are looking for exclusivity, get it in writing... get a contract!

- Finishing Touches
All paintings are finished with two coats of a flat matte protective sealant and are equipped with the mounting hardware - already mounted for gallery panels and enclosed separately for canvas board.

- Certificate of Authenticity
A
digital certificate of Authenticity
comes with each painting. Each
painting is hand signed by Danish
artist, known as Always Samantha, who
resides in the countryside between the
Gatineau Hills of Quebec and the Ottawa
Valley.
